Cherry Tree Dedication


Come join a special Cherry Tree dedication on September 17, 2006 at Stadium High School.

As Stadium celebrates 100 years of history we will dedicate a Cherry Tree and an engraved stone to the importance of Japanese heritage and culture in Tacoma and at Stadium High


School. Sponsored by Stadium’s Japan & Animation Club, Tacoma-Kitakyushu Sister City

Committee, Urban Forestry Services, and Marenakos Rock Center.

Along with a story about the reconstruction, there is also a video tour and a photo gallery.

On Saturday, the 9th of September, there will be a special insert about the history and future of the Brown Castle.

For those of you outside the area, papers are available through the mail.

The cost, including postage, is $3.35 for daily papers and $4.50 for Sunday.
